Cannot add citations in google doc through Zotero

Hi,
I'm new to Zotero.
I downloaded the latest Zotero version today (6.0.26) as well as the Zotero connector. I have tried to add a citation to a paper I have in my library and it failed - the initial dialog opens up, I pick a citation style, pick the paper form my library, and then get an error message.
I tried several different papers, several different citation styles, and tried in a brand new, empty google doc - I get the same behavior in all of these tests.
I recorded this behavior in this DebugID - D571360001.
I hope you can help me!
Thanks,
Rachelly.

Start by disabling all your other browser extensions.
  • Thanks for your comment. I have tried to remove all unnecessary extensions and disabled all other extensions but the zotero one, then opened a new google sheet and tried again to add a citation - and got the same behavior..
  • Restart your browser and Zotero and try again in a new document, and if prompted to grant permission to access the document, make sure you're choosing the Google account that you used to create the document. Nothing to do with the email address you used for your Zotero account.
  • dstillman, thank you! That was the issue!
I was sure I had to give the permission to use Zotero, but I was supposed to supply the other email I used to open the document.
    Thanks for your help!
