Oscola not correctly updating endnotes

Hello, I'm using Zotero with a word document in the Oscola style. When I move my footnotes around within the text they are not correctly updating. For example, if I add a footnote and the footnote below it appears as 'ibid, 17.' and I subsequently move that footnote above the previous footnote, it's still appearing as 'ibid 17' rather than giving the full citation as required. Additionally, when footnotes are the first in the list on a page, the full citation should be given rather than ibid which is what I'm getting throughout my document. The issue is also arising around cross-referencing. I have used the refresh button and it's not updating the document correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Maisy
  • Switch to APA and back to Oscola. That forces a complete rerender.
If that doesn't work, let us know.
  • Zotero isn't aware of pagination, though, so that part of the rule won't be implemented.
  • Thank you both so much. Unfortunately, this hasn't resolved my issue. If a citation is appearing as 'ibid, 18' for example in one document underneath the original citation, when I move that sentence to a different place in the document the citation is still appearing as 'ibid 18' rather than updating to show the full citation as required in the new place?
  • Which word processor?
  • Microsoft word
  • I also have this problem with cross-references, the reference back to an earlier footnote for the same source keeps looking the same even though the original source reference have changed to a new footnote number. I have also tried to refresh and restarting word and zotero.
