Italics in a specific word in tittle

I have a problem when handling references.

In my field, some words such as the names of microorganisms are always italized.
However, when I import references to Zotero, these names are not italized. Ej. Escherichia coli, Candida albicans.

Is there a way besides individual editing of the references (that is including codes for italics before the word) or replacing the format in the final Word document to permanently fix this ?. The first option is tedious, while the second is transient.

Thanks
  • The first method is how you do this. When importing from some websites the markup will be automatically included.

In a future version it will likely be possible to use shortcut keys in the Title field itself, but no ETA on that.
  • Thank you so much for answering.
Such future improvement will be great !
  • I think that this improvement would be easy to implement as a script, macro, or whatever (I am not an code writer) in which a defined word could be replaced by the word with the starting and finishing codes in a defined field (title etc).

I have done it BEFORE importing the library using Word and it works nicely, but obviously, it needs to be done while importing or later.

    Thanks again
