Substantive note with multiple citations
How do I create a footnote that has discussion of a topic from different sources? For example, I need to include a note structured like this: John Smith argues that blah blah blah. Smith, 2020, pg 15. In contrast, Jane Doe points out blah blah blah. Doe, 2021, pg 7.
I have been able to insert the first part using the prefix dialog. But I am confused about how to add the second part and its citation. Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

You can combine multiple items with prefixes and suffixes for each individual item.
FWIW, you can also (and many users prefer this for very long discoursive note) insert the footnote using your word processor and then just insert Zotero citations individually with short suffixes (typically until the end of the sentence) into the footnote.
