feature want: bibliography of the article in the right or left toolbar

It would be very convenient to have references show up in one of the toolbars (I mean where, for instance, we have table of contents). Currently what I do is that I open the article twice and I browse to the bibliography section in one of the files. But this is not optimal for productivity
  • You can use a split view (View menu or right click menu) to open a new view and navigate to a paper's reference list (avoiding the need to open the same PDF twice).

Otherwise there are several addons with capabilities for parsing reference list text or retrieving the list from online databases (both difficult to get 100% accurate), and placing it in a right pane tab. eg
https://github.com/muisedestiny/zotero-reference (Chrome's web page translate works well to translate the Chinese pages)
    - some discussion here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/429031
    - the addon also adds the split view options to the top taskbar
    https://github.com/diegodlh/zotero-cita (still under development)
  • I see, this is helpful thanks. Still I am guessing we would benefit from an in-built feature where if you click the reference in the Split View on the left, it scrolls to the right place in the bibliography on the right. Hopefully this will be implemented at some point.
