Zotero in Google Docs not working

Hi peeps:)
I've just tried using this for the first time to do citations... When I clicked on the citation choice in the drop down menu it started the initialisation process of connecting it up (can't think of the name of that process!). It was taking ages, so I refreshed my screen. Now when I try clicking on any of the choices in the drop down menu nothing happens. I've tried restarting my computer and deinstalling/reinstalling the Zotero Connector extension... making no difference. Can anyone help?

    Sometimes when using the Google Docs integration, Zotero citation dialog won't pop up on top of the screen. After pressing "Add/edit citation" in Google Docs you may need to manually look through open Zotero windows to find the citation dialog.

    If during this process you refresh the Google Docs page, the connection to Zotero will break until you restart Zotero.
