Zotero stops responding when I try to export.
Hi forums, I need some help with a resolution. We are conducting a systematic review and have our library saved on zotero and I need to export it as an RIS but as soon as I try to export Zotero freezes. I have read previous discussions about this and can see no help since we have unlimited storage (which came up as an issue in a previous thread) and I have checked to see that I have no extensions in there. I have also looked at the debugging menu and as far as I can tell from my admittedly naive experience, there isn't anything logging in the error window since its just not-responding. We really need some help to get this exported. Thanks.

adamsmithHave you just waited for a long time (as in hours or overnight)? Freezing doesn't mean Zotero isn't doing anything.

sarah.vaughanYes, I have waited over 4/5 hours on one day and even longer the next. It does give a file, but only with about 40-50 entries. I'll try overnight this time.

adamsmithSo it stays frozen but there's a (small) exported file? How many items are we talking about approximately? Which operating system?

sarah.vaughanHi adam, Its windows 10, were talking 5144 entries to be exported (probably part of the issue), and yes there is an exported file.

adamsmithI'd probably recommend installing the 64-bit Zotero 7 beta version (see thread pinned at the top) and trying again. You can then revert back to the stable V6 version. Z7 is both generally faster and the 64-bit version has better memory management
