In text Citation Format for Zotero Extracted Annotation

When I 'add note from annotations' (used to be extraction) in order to bring in highlighted lines from a pdf, the APA parenthetical citation format it is incorrect. It is using (Author and Author) rather than (Author & Author). I have my preferred citation format set to APA. Is this something that can be done/fixed or do I need to manually alter them?

    That's not a specific citation format — it's just a generic author-date placeholder. If you add the note to a word processor document with the plugin, the citations will use the format you've selected for the document.

    (There's nowhere in Zotero that you just set a general citation style, so not sure what you're referring to there.)

    Ok--thanks. I only asked because the rest of the "placeholder" is actually in a correct APA format. It would be nice if you could set it to a citation format especially if you aren't going to use a word processor. But I understand there are limits and this will be a manual fix. I appreciate your time.
