Shortcut: Add item(s) by Identifier

Dear Zotero community,
I was wondering if there is a possibility to create a keyboard shortcut for the button "Add item(s) by Identifier". This would make it for me so much faster to add new items.

Hey, that is great. Thank you very much. How did you call the shortcut? I could not find it under "Add item(s) by Identifier" in the Zutilo menu under shortcuts... (accessed via the firefox add-on)

Are you using Zotero for Firefox or Zotero Standalone (or Zotero 5)?

(If you haven't already, you need to install the Zutilo add-in into Zotero 5 (via the Tools menu), not Firefox.)

From their, you can find the option as "Lookup item by identifier" in the Zutilo Shortcuts preferences.

Dear bwiernik,
the latest update of the Zutilo add-in is installed and I could nevertheless not find the option in the preferences pane under "shortcuts".

Add by identifier is in the top menu in Zotero 7, i.e. accessible with four keystrokes (on Windows: alt - F - down arrow - return). Would a keyboard shortcut be nice? -- sure -- but this certainly meets any formal and practical accessibility standards (and is significantly more discoverable than a keyboard shortcut).

only the "alt" part is different on a Mac. I believe the default for opening the menu bar is Ctrl+F2, but you can customize it:
