I understand that if I have multiple titles by the same author from the same year, Zotero will automatically give them numbers to differentiate them. The trouble I have is that the letters Zotero is allocating are totally random. Instead of following alphabetical order, they follow no order whatsoever.

How can I fix this? I have deleted and reset the references nine times now and would like to avoid a tenth attempt.
