Empty note generated from annotations+sync issue

Hi,
Related to the error reported as 1837550172.

A few days ago I noted that an exclamation mark appeared when clicking the sync to Zoter.org button, but seems it seems not affect my work, I didn't care.

Today, I noticed that whenever I try to add a note from annotations in any PDF in my library, it generates only an empty note, so maybe it is related to that since it persists.
I disabled all the add-ons and no changes. Not using any note template.

Zotero version 6.0.26

Can you help me, please?

  • Reset translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences and make sure Quick Copy formats are selected from the Export pane of the preferences.

  • There's nothing logged there. You have to trigger the action while debug output logging is running. And you should restart Zotero first to clear previous errors.

  • Can you open the PDF in the Zotero PDF reader? Do you see annotations? What happens if you drag those to a note in the Notes pane of the PDF reader?
  • I am able to open the pdf in the Zotero reader, I can highlight the pdf and I can see the annotations generated from the highlights and comments. However, when I drag the annotation to a note, it does not add anything (remains empty), no text is added in the Notes pane. D716616706

    Something's wrong with your note template setting. Did you change it? You should find it in the Config Editor and reset it to the default.
  • I have not used templates (didn't even know how).
    When I go to the config editor and look for "annotations.noteTemplates" (as suggested by your documentation page) I don't get any result.
    If I search "note", I get:

  • Reinstall Zotero from the download page. There are some major problems in your installation (including some unrelated ones showing in your error report).
