Do I lose highlighted text of files when I install Beta version?

Because my Zotero connector on Safari is not working well, I want to install the beta app for Mac. However, I'm a bit cautious as I don't want to lose my highlighted text of the files in my current Zotero app. Does anyone know if I will lose those highlights?

you don't lose anything installing the beta, no, but there's no relevant update for the Safari connector in the beta, so not sure why you think that'd help?

Well I have the problem that my citations in Google Docs are stated as {Updating}. In one of the forums I found that I need to update to the beta version of Safari. But you suggest that it will not help, if I understand it correctly?

Anyone know what to do?
