How does zotero add a unique number to an imported document?

I use onedrive to store my documents. I want to kow how can zotero add a unique number to an imported document.

    To the filename? It can't really. What for? Zotero auto-renames files and the default should be pretty uniqute (author, date, and beginning of title). Adding something completely unique (e.g. based on the Zotero item ID is probably possible with some effort using ZotFile custom wildcards, but I don't think anyone has ever done that.

    yes, for the filename. The name of author, date, and beginning of title is ofen too long and not convient for signs. I want to locate a document by a numberas its ID.
