Unable to add in-text citations to google doc document

Zotero: 6.0.26 Zotero Connector: 5.0.109 Safari MacOS
Unable to add in-text citations. I pressed Zotero on the toolbar for google docs, I put in my reference information and it produced a red bar with a blue line in the middle.

    You're saying you get the progress bar after you've searched for the citation and pressed Return to accept your selection?

    Can you restart Zotero and provide a Debug ID from Zotero for reproducing this?

    Does this happen if you disable any other Safari extensions?
