Zotero keeps freezing when trying to add citation or update document

Hi,

I just combined several documents into a larger one. When I try to add citations or update the Zotero references the application just freezes. Without even loading.

    Restart Word and Zotero. Attempt to refresh the document. Make sure you wait a while. There is not a progress indicator, but Zotero is working.

    Hi,

    Doesn't work. When I refresh Zotero I get zero response. I've been waiting for hours. And same result, i.e., the application freezes when trying to add new citations.

    Perhaps I should add that it did update in a PC in the office but I cannot get I to function on either of my two apple devices...

    Word for Mac is massively slower connecting with Zotero, so the best advice would be to avoid editing the merged document on Mac.

    @mhjar how big is this document? After restarting Zotero, go into Help -> Debug Output Logging -> View Output. Then attempt to refresh the document. You will see Zotero log information regarding your document. You can use this log to know whether Zotero is working on your document or not.

    Around 2500 footnotes. I get this:

    (3)(+0001358): Connecting to streaming server at wss://stream.zotero.org/

    (1)(+0000001): WebSocket connection closed: 1006

    (3)(+0000001): Delaying 60000

    A javascript error as well.

    After Zotero restart if you initiate a document refresh, does the debug output window not start being filled up with messages?
