"Add Comment" for annotations (highlights) pop-up gone

I usually add comments to my highlights using the pop-up window that appears when I right-click the highlight (I am working on a Mac and I use the standalone version of Zotero). I now seem to add those comments only in the left column where all highlights (''annotations") are stored. Is that a feature of the new version or it is a problem I am the only one encountering?

    You're misremembering. It's a single left-click on the highlight to show the popup, not a right-click, but it only appears when the sidebar is closed, since otherwise it's just the exact same widget. When the sidebar is open, it will just focus the widget in the sidebar.
