Zotero icons missing in Ubuntu Linux 22.04 Libre office

Hi to all,

Zotero seems to be usable but graphical icons are missing from the plug-in GUI. Instead, there are texts which explain the GUI button's function.

I would like to get GUI to have graphical icons, please.

OS: Linux Ubuntu 22.04
Version: 7.3.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 30(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Ubuntu package version: 1:7.3.7-0ubuntu0.22.04.2
Calc: threaded

Best and thank you in advance,

T.

That would be a LibreOffice problem, but deleting your LO profile folder and reinstalling the plugin might help.
  • Now it says that Java does not exist but it exists. I use Java 20.01 cos 11 is too old to be used.
  • I use openjdk-11-jdk with LO Version: 7.5.2.2 on Ubuntu 22.04.1 and it works well.
  • @tom777: Make sure you've selected a JRE/JDK from the Advanced pane of the LO preferences.
  • It works now, but Libre Office could not locate Java until I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. An environment variable was also needed to .bashrc. I had to make the following additions to .bashrc with nano: export PATH="/usr/lib/jvm/jdk-20/bin:$PATH". But now it seems to work with Sun Oracle Java 20.
