it's going to be relatively soon (2.0 is feature frozen until final release according to Dan) but beyond that I don't think anyone knows - even the core dev team hasn't been terribly good at predicting timelines in the past.

yes. Citation styles and translators are automatically updated, about once a day. This will continue once Zotero is out of beta.
Since sites change their structure, this is an important feature to keep Zotero working smoothly. Some of the changes she has been seeing may actually be due to changes in the sites data structure rather than Zotero.
