Error: Citing in Google Docs

I'm not the most technologically advanced when it comes to Zotero, but I've tried so many troubleshooting recommendations now that have gone nowhere. Basically in one particular google document of mine, every time I add in a citation, it just continues to say 'updating' and never loads.

Reproduce:

- 'add citation' through zotero plug in on google docs
-select citation (none are working)
- document says {updating]
- click 'edit citation' > says 'Selected field X not returned from Docs backend' (the X is different every time)

I've made a copy of the document, fiddled with the formatting, reinstalled the zotero google shortcut thingy, deleted and re-added sources, bought more storage, but literally nothing has worked.

Occasionally it'll decide to add the citation, but I try again 2 seconds later and the same 'updating' thing happens all over again

    Does this work well in a new document? Do you have other google-docs related extensions installed in your browser? Did you try disabling them?

    Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for an insertion that fails?

    It depends on the document > in some new documents it's working, in others It'll let me successfully cite once, and then not again. I've disabled all other extensions in the browser and tried it, no change. And I've also fiddled around with the zotero V2 on/off, but no change again.

    The Debug ID is D1042019994.

    What browser are you using? Is it up to date? Can you reproduce this with a different browser? Could you submit a Report ID from the Zotero Connector?
