I have cited a source multiple times, however each time it seems to be shorten/different, is this normal?

First time the citation appears, it appears like this:
Daniel Alves, «História 2.0: oportunidades e desafios de um olhar digital sobre o passado», Billet, Digital Humanities and History (blog), 24 de março de 2011, https://dhhistory.hypotheses.org/34.

Second time (just the name appears):
Alves.

Third Time:
Alves, «História 2.0»

As I understand it, after the first citation, it should only appearas the third one, right?
Why does the second one just add one name?
  • This is correct formatting for Chicago (full note) and similar styles. The second format appears when you have cited the same source immediately prior (where ibid would have been used previously).

If you want to use the third format always, use Chicago (note) style (not “full note”)
