Zotero slow first citation

I am working on a reasonably lengthy word doc (c. 420 pages). Inserting references from Zotero got slow, so I disabled automatically update citations, and once I have started inserting citations it now works ok - except for the first citation I insert after opening the document. This takes 10 to 15 minutes. Subsequent citations insert in a few seconds.

I have tried setting 'Full-Text Cache' values to zero, it did not help.

Any advice how to debug or resolve very much appreciated.

Versions Zotero 6.0.22, Mac Pro with Ventura 13.0.1, Word 16.70

    You should reset the Full-Text Cache value to its default, it has nothing to do with word processors.

    There's no solution to this. Zotero has to "load up" the document after restart and there is no way to speed up the first interaction.
