Difficulties to generate my references in word

Hello,
I've been using Zotero for a few years, but lately I've been having trouble generating the references I've been citing in my essays. When I click on "REFRESH" in word nothing happens. The references do not come out. All my attempts are in vain. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Zotero and word and the problem is not resolved. I really need your life-saving help.
Thank you
  • Have you inserted a bibliography with Add/Edit Bibliography? Refresh alone wouldn't cause a bibliography to appear.
  • How about in a new document with just a couple of citation -- does it work there?

Which citation style, which word processor, which operating system?
  • Yes, of course. The references are already inserted in my bibliography. But I can't generate them in my Word document. In the text the normal format appears but the detail in the reference chapter does not appear at a
  • Sorry, I don't quite understand -- could you try to answer my questions specifically (or, if you were trying to answer my first question, rephrase: I don't follow the answer).
  • Win 11 operating system,
    Office 2019, I had Office 2021
Quote style: APA but the others also do not work the same
  • With a new document with one line or a few messages, I have the same problem. It still doesn't work. If I could send you a picture or a short video, it would be even easier. Actually, the reference inside the text comes out (e.g. author and year) but when I ask zotero to output all the references to the indicated part (e.g. author, title, journal, page, URL, dOI, year, ...), nothing happens at all.
  • You can post videos or screenshots to any image/video hosting site (imgur, dropbox, gdrive, etc.) and link to from here.
You are clicking add bibliography though, yes?
  • I'll make a video during the day tomorrow and send the link over here.

Yes I click on add reference and this whole process works fine.
  • I'm still confused by your terminology: "Add reference" doesn't exist in the Zotero Word add-on. There is Add Citation, which adds the citation (such as (author, date) in APA style) and there's Add Bibliography, which adds the bibliography for all inserted citations. I'm still not clear if you have done the latter.
  • that's restricted -- you need to set it to view for everyone
  • it's good now.
  • Right, you need to click on Add/Edit Bibliography before the bibliography appears. You just keep clicking Refresh.
  • You are an angel. I think it was all my fault. I was pressing the wrong button. Everything works like a god. Thank you so much.
