citation style WITH simple footnotes AND a "special" bibliography

hello everyone,
could someone help me to find or to create a citation style that looks like this:

footnotes:
author (year): cited page(s)

(instead of the “/” a comma or a “&” would be ok, too)

Thank you so, so much! sincerely, leonieve
  • Is this your own invention or is it an existing style? Have you had a look at the Zotero Style Repository? If you hover over styles there you get examples. Be sure to uncheck 'Show dependent styles', otherwise there'll be lots of duplicates.
    how is this?
    go to the address above,
then use the Raw link on the top right to download.
Install the style by dragging the file icon into any open Firefox window.

If you have more specific formatting requirement you will need to follow the guidelines here:

  • first of all: thank you so much for your quick help.
@ adamsmith: thanks for the style, but unfortunately its not what im looking for...
i followed the other link an i found a kind of similiar citation style: Water Research (dev)
so i startet to compare it to "my" style- is it right to post it here, or should i do it somewhere else...? here are the request i have:
    Citation:
    (Perlmutter und Heenan, 1986)
-Instead I want a FOOTNOTE, looking like this:

Perlmutter und Heenan (1986), page (s)

-And if there are MORE THAN TWO AUTORS: -already with et al. after the first author

    Perlmutter et al. (1986), page(s)

-And if there are MULTI CITATION: - with semicolon in btw.

Perlmutter und Heenan (1986), page (s); Perlmutter (1983), page (s)

    Schein, E. H. (2004) Organizational culture and leadership, Jossey-Bass

-Instead of no sign between the (year) and the title, I want a COLON btw. them.
-And I also want to get rid of the quotation marks for book-parts
-For books, the title should be CURSIVE
-For papers, the journal-name should be CURSIVE

i already dropped some of my request, my professor is ok with it...(thank god).
    i hope u can help!thank u so much, again!
    greetings, leonieve
  • @leonieve, is there a reason why you need to use a bespoke style? Just asking -- the idea behind the CSL infrastructure is to save time by reusing existing style code, and this seems to kind of cut against that.
  • @fbennett: unfortunately my professors department set these requests for the citation style....and they want to have alle thesis`s in one style....no idea why.totally needless.
  • try the above posted style again. I believe it has all you want.
Which university and department is that? Worth posting in the repository?
  • the style you "dedicated" to me has still some bits, with which i dont agree (e.g. there are no braces around the year- i need them in the footnote and in the bibliography! AND i dont want the first names (in the bibliography) in front of the surname)- but thank you so much anyway!! but is it possible to change these two requests!?
my department is the technology- and innovationmanagement at technical university berlin...i dont think its worth posting the repository, but u never know!
would be perfect if u could help me again!
    greetings, leonieve
