Mismatch between ZoteroBib and Zotero client for Cite the Right styles

Edition should be abbreviated "edn." in edition statements to avoid confusion with editor element "(ed.)"

For some reason, edition statements for books render incorrectly on ZoteroBib, but correctly in Zotero client for edition statements. This is the case for both Cite them right 11th and 12th editions.

ZoteroBib:
Simon, C.A. (2012) ‘Children, families, community and the State’, in Ward, S. (ed.) A student’s guide to education studies. 3rd ed. Abingdon: Routledge.

Zotero:
Simon, C.A. (no date) ‘Children, families, community and the state’’, in A student’s guide to education studies. 3rd edn. Abingdon: Routledge, pp. 29–45.

    Just a guess but maybe this is because the metadata you got in zbib contains value for edition that actually contains the word "ed.", e.g. "3rd ed." and one you got in Zotero does not? If you click on the item and edit the value for "edition" so that it says "3rd" you should get a correct citation.

    Specifically you want to edit the edition field to just be the number “3”

    bwiernik: apparently both cardinals and ordinals work in the edition field, so 3 or 3rd gives the correct output. Any other value is processed verbatim.

    Glad it worked, Zbib and Zotero use the same underlying technology to generate citations so both should produce the same result.

    As @bwiernik suggested, probably best to set the value of edition to be the number "3".
