When using Apple Pencil and the highlight tool is selected, allow fingers to just scroll

This used to be the feature but I don’t know why it’s changed. Now, my fingers don’t scroll at all when I have the highlighter selected and it’s only highlights

Oh god please add this back. I scroll with my finger and highlight with my apple pen. Now i have to unselect highlighting every time just to scroll down the page. Was this unintentionally removed?

Scrolling with your fingers is how you navigate on an iPad. Even when you’re annotating/highlighting with the pen. Please please please please please please fix this.
  • Just also realised you can’t even zoom now when the highlight tool is selected. If you’re using an apple pen, why can’t you use your fingers to navigate?!?!
  • I appreciated the change to have the annotation options on the side. However, this shouldn’t be at the cost of ease of use.

Please return this to the way it was. Let us scroll and highlight/box over/annotate at the same time. Having to keep clicking back and forth to highlight and scroll is very distracting when reading and makes the iPad app very frustrating to use.
  • Sorry, this is a regression and has been fixed. It'll soon be available on TestFlight and then in App Store.
  • Thanks for the quick update. Appreciate it!
  • @gx16, @darrencroton, @ipodwarrior: This is fixed now in 1.0.11.
  • Hi @dstillman.

It seems to have reverted back to the old behaviour again (version 1.0.11]. However if I first double tap the pencil to enable the eraser, then double tap again to go back to the pen, then I can scroll with my finger with the pen selected.
