How can we help modify some code on github

Dear Developers and Experts，
Zotero is a very convenient and helpful tool and it has a good compatibility with MicroSoft Office. Besides MicroSoft office, there are many other word processing softwares and some of them may have some bugs with it. I'm curious about how I could modify some code on your project. I've visit your official websites and github, and known that github pull request may be a good choice or some other ways ? And I also want your suggestions about more details of your project coding standards and requirement. Looking for your reply!

    If you want to add a plugin for a different word processor, you'd want to make this your own project, on your own github. Zotero has been pretty clear that they're not currently planning on supporting any other tools as part of their core development, but several other projects (including, e.g. WPS Office) have built their own Zotero integration

    Here are some information of compatibility between WPS and MS Office. On Windows, most programs written for MS Office that use COM/OLE can work normally with WPS, including "Zotero Word for Windows Integration".

    At present, WPS users can use Zotero as long as VBA is installed. However, there are also some problems that can be improved. For example, the version number obtained from WPS through API "Application.Version" is "12" by default. It is observed that Zotero Word Integration does not use the "UndoRecord" interface when MSO version number less than "14", but it is present and valid on WPS. So we feel that these features can be used to improve the user experience.
