Footnotes not shortened and dotted underline

My Report ID is 2068081884.

I selected Chicago (note) and when I cite a source more than once, the subsequent footnotes are not shortened. Also, all of my footnotes are inserted with a dotted underline. I can get rid of it only by highlighting the footnote, underlining with a solid line, and then undoing the underline.

Don't undo the underlining manually -- it signals that items aren't currently updating automatically (that's also why the citations don't shorten). See https://www.zotero.org/blog/zotero-5-0-36/#faster-citing-in-large-documents

If hitting refresh doesn't work, try switching to a different citation style and back.
