Google Docs and Zotero Connector
Are there instructions for how to use my online Zotero library with Zotero Connect to connect directly to Google Docs without having to have the desktop application? My work computer doesn't allow me to download the desktop program, so I'd like to just link the two in my browser (Chrome). I have Zotero Connector installed and I see the Zotero menu in Google Docs, but when I try to add a citation, then I get an error that says, "The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application. Zotero must be open to use web-based citing." I read in the Zotero documentation that using the desktop application gives the best experience with Google Docs, but I'm okay with a workaround if it's possible.

A future version of the Zotero Connector will likely make this possible, but currently the citing interface itself comes from the desktop app. I'm not sure what you're referring to, but the documentation wouldn't say "best experience" — the desktop app is a requirement.
