Trying to modify the workflow and need help

Hi,

I am a grad student and I have had a pretty successful workflow on mac using Zotero. But I made the error of using my OneDrive as the file storage. I am now trying to incorporate my iPad and pencil and struggling with how to go about this. What I would like to do ideally is:
1. To send all my PDFs to Zotero server and get a paid subscription for the space;
2. Then use Zotfile to read on the tablet and annotate;
3. Having access to these annotations on my Macbook where I can write
If you can help me understand how to do this in simple terms, I will appreciate. Acronyms are scary.
