Some citations not highlighted in LibreOffice
I have just recently begun to experience this, and apparently my students have seen it also. Some of the citations in some documents are not highlighted with grey, even though they're still active. The other citations are highlighted with grey. The documents are edited only in LO and we're using ReferenceMarks.
We haven't been able to figure out a pattern as to which citations are highlighted and which are not. Has anyone else seen this?
I'm using LO 7.3.0.3 and Zotero 6.0.4 under Windows 10.
thank you.

adomasvenThat's a LibreOffice bug, so you should report it to them. LibreOffice is responsible for highlighting its ReferenceMark fields and if you can edit the unhighlighted citations with Zotero it means they are indeed active and LibreOffice is failing to highlight them.

funnellFWIW, we've discovered that we can cause the unhighlighted citations to be highlighted by doing Clear Direct Formatting. There's no visible direct formatting and we don't yet know why this happens sometimes.
