I recently realised my zotero plugin was no longer in my LO toolbar. I purged my LO installation and reinstalled but I still cannot install the zotero plugin both through zotero and via manual installation. Something about a path not existing but even when I try to manually set my LO installation path in zothero I get the same error message.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue recently and how to fix it?

You'd have to say the exact message you're getting, but it sounds like may just not have a Java JDK configured in LO. In any case, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#installation_error for all the things to try.

Fixed it - Thanks for the help.

Java was running fine but somehow my LO user profile was corrupted. Creating a new one solved the issue.
