Citation box won't show when trying to add/edit citation in google docs

The citation box won't show when trying to add/edit citation in google docs. I have tried to install and reinstall Zotero perhaps five times. I have enabled Zotero within safari settings. I have the MacOS Monterey version 12.4. And no matter how I try it doesn't work.

    Restart Zotero and Safari. Open a new Google Docs document. Attempt to cite. Please describe in full what happens. Do you get any popups, or windows. Produce a Debug ID from Zotero for this attempt to cite and post it here.
