MISSING: Website Name for APA 7th Ed

Hello!

Re APA 7

How possible would it be to create a bibliography that adds the website name? In the Zotero info pane, the title, author, date, and URL are filled out; however, the website name is not included which should be according to the latest version of the APA Publication Manual (APA 7).

For example, what I get is:

Quinn, B. (2018, November 16). CMS releases CY2017 SEP-1 sepsis management data; Academics perform badly. http://www.discoveriesinhealthpolicy.com/2018/11/cms-releases-cy2017-sep-1-hospital.html

But what I need is:

Quinn, B. (2018, November 16). CMS releases CY2017 SEP-1 sepsis management data; Academics perform badly. Discoveries in Health Policy. http://www.discoveriesinhealthpolicy.com/2018/11/cms-releases-cy2017-sep-1-hospital.html

I would appreciate if you add a blank entry for the website name.

Will be waiting for your response.

  • I'm not sure what you mean here. The "Web Page" item type includes a "Website Title" field, and it's used in APA 7 bibliography entries.
  • Do you have, “ Discoveries in Health Policy” in the Zotero Website Title field? I assume that you are using the Web Page item type.
  • Webpage Title is different from Website Name. In the samples I gave, the one I am looking for is "Discoveries in Health Policy" which should be the Website Name.

Please check the rules for APA 7th Ed, so you understand what I mean.
  • This should be the rule:

Lastname, F. M. (Year, Month Date). Title of page. Site name. URL
  • Thing is Zotero does not include any blank for Website Name.
  • I think you're just hung up on terminology: Website title and website name are the same thing, i.e. the name (or title) of the website from which you're citing a page -- different style manuals call things by slightly different names, obviously this isn't always going to align 100% to the Zotero labels. We're well aware of the APA manual.

Just tried it again placing an entry for the Website Title - which I previously did in the first example I gave. And weird it works different this time.

Quinn, B. (2018, November 16). CMS Releases CY2017 SEP-1 Sepsis Management Data; Academics Perform Badly. Discoveries in Health Policy. http://www.discoveriesinhealthpolicy.com/2018/11/cms-releases-cy2017-sep-1-hospital.html

I just need to manually change the capitalization to suit the APA 7.

    Thanks!
  • For capitalization in APA, see Sentence Casing.
  • Such a big help. Thank you so much!
