I want to put PDF into Zotero and this is not working. I have to have two directories for my literature: one Zotero and anotherone for my PDFs. I just think this is not optimal. why is the use of PDF not possible?
If you already have a entry in Zotero, you can attach a pdf using the paperclip icon, or you can drag and drop your pdf onto the item.
If you have a pdf, but no corresponding item in Zotero, you can drag your pdf into Zotero. Zotero will try to extract the metadata from the pdf, which tends to work reasonably well for e.g. for recent scientific articles, but not for scanned documents without text.
