Please help with creating a new style

Please help me with creating a new style for multiple sclerosis journal.

The best style match is: American Medical Association

Needed changes :

Citation:

The number should appear in square brackets []

Bibliography:

A comma is also needed after the family name of each author (not only after the first letter/letters of the author's first name. Note that after the last author should appear a dot before the article name as in the American Medical Association.

The volume number should appear in bold.

There should be a space before the volume number and before the number of pages.

Thanks a lot,

Guy.
  • hey - pls also provide sample citations and a link to the styleguid
  • I could not find the style guide but,
an article for example can be found here :

    http://msj.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/14/7/880

and a citation for example :

    1. Allison, RS, Millar, JHD. Prevalence of disseminated sclerosis
    in Northern Ireland. Ulster Med J 1954; 23: 5–27.
    2. Millar, JHD. Multiple sclerosis in Northern Ireland. In:
Rose, FC, (ed), Clinical Neuroepidemiology. Tunbridge
    Wells: Pitman Medical; 1980: 222–227.
    3. Hawkins, S, McKee, F. Updated epidemiological studies
    of multiple sclerosis in Northern Ireland. J Neurol 1988;
    235: S86.
  • A Link to the journal's homepage :

    http://msj.sagepub.com/
are the author's instructions. I'll take a look tomorrow.
  • Go here
    http://gist.github.com/195607
download using the "Raw" link on the top right and install by dragging the file to Firefox.

Currently the et al is bold and not in italics. This cannot be corrected in the current version of csl, but will be possible in the future.
Please test this style and give feedback here.
  • OK, the updated style is now on the new csl 1.0 repository at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles and will eventually move to citationstyles.org, including et al in italics
