Syncing error

I've used Zotero for a long time and do syncing of my library to zotero.org.

But I also do tech support for Zotero at my job, and I am meeting with someone who wants to know about linking to files in Dropbox. So I've read up in it but wanted to see what it looked like. So I linked to a file in my Dropbox account.

Now my Zotero won't sync; I repeatedly get sync errors. I've deleted the item I linked to, emptied the trash, restarted Zotero, and restarted my Mac. But I still get sync errors.

How do I fix this? Help!

    If this is the error you're referring to, this wouldn't have anything to do with a linked file. It's just a stored file that's too big. You can paste "84G8WT8B" into the search bar in All Fields & Tags mode to see the file in question.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    So if I delete that file the sync should proceed normally? It's sort of weird since that file has been around for over a month but I haven't seen a sync error until today.

    Okay, that does seem to fix things (I delete the item, and Zotero now syncs).
