Ulysses + Zotero -> Word

I want to write in Ulysses and drop in citations from Zotero. When I'm done, I want to be able to export the document to Word with formatted citations and bibliography.

I have spent hours researching how to do this and I've hit a dead end. Can someone help?

There is a lua filter on the Better BibTex website that can turn plain-text citekey into live zotero fields after converting from .md to .docx files. Export the document to .md and then use Pandoc to convert. (See https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/exporting/pandoc/)

Thank you for that. Is there any app / tool which can do this using a visual interface? I'm not familiar with Pandoc and would like to avoid using a command line interface.

Just to explain, my current workflow is:

Export from Ulysses to DOCX
Open DOCX in LibreOffice
Save as ODT
Perform ODT scan in Zotero
Open ODT (with 'live' Zotero citations) in LibreOffice
Add bibliography
Save as DOCX

It's easy but a bit of a faff. I'm hoping there's a simpler solution.

I'll see what I can do inside BBT, but the author of https://github.com/mb21/Pandoc-Mac-OS-X-Services could perhaps be persuaded to make a workflow service for it.
