Entering century as a date

I am trying to get Zotero to export a BibLaTeX file that has this entry as the date:

date = {15XX}

This would denote the 16th century. This is especially useful for referencing manuscripts without an exact date.

This is supported by BibLatex (in this file it is rendered as {19XX}:
https://mirror.cse.unsw.edu.au/pub/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/biblatex/doc/examples/96-dates.tex

I tried several different things in the Date field in Zotero but I can't get it to work. Is it possible? Or is there a workaround to this?

I don't believe there's any way to do this, no -- certainly not with Zotero out of the box. @emilianoeheyns may have an idea how to do this with the BetterBibTeX add-on

Better BibLaTeX will export 15XX as-is because it is a valid EDTF date.
