How to cite a scientific product insert/ technical manual?
Hello,
Does anyone know how you are supposed to cite a product insert or technical manual? I use the American Society for Horticultural Science style. I need to cite several product insert/protocols for kits I have used to do things like extract RNA or perform PCR. This is one example:
https://norgenbiotek.com/sites/default/files/resources/PI25800-13 Plant Fungi Total RNA Kit Insert.pdf
From this product
https://norgenbiotek.com/product/plantfungi-total-rna-purification-kit
Do I cite the website? I don't see a choice of anything that seems to fit protocol or product insert as a document type. Help? Thank you!

adamsmithI'd cite/enter manuals and similar items as a report -- but I'd also not worry about the details too much - absent explicit guidance by the journal, I don't think details matter all that much as long as you have the relevant info -- title, date, institution, URL -- in there.
