group invitation accidentally ignored - how to remedy?

I've accidentally clicked "ignore" and instead of "join" when given a group invitation. Now, the link in the invitation email does no longer work - access denied.

Have I irreparably destroyed a one-time token by my accident? Is there no way to still join the group?
I couldn't find any information on this problem, so help is greatly appreciated.

    Yes, I'm afraid that deletes the invitation.
    You'll need to be invited again.

    At least this issue is now document and can be found be others :) - unless there is a change made (e.g., not deleting invitations or rephrasing from "ignore" to "delete" to make people more cautious).
