Upgrade Storagebibliography numbering gap: citation numbering jumps from 2 straight to 4
I have erased a reference from the library and taken out the corresponding citation from my word manuscript. There is now a gap in the numbering of citations in both the text and the bibliography, which I cannot fix.
It may be related to the fact that this citation was a webpage and that it appeared twice (in an older and a more recent version that I had in my library) at some stage I was asked whether I wanted to keep the changes and I may have chosen the wrong option. I have deleted both versions from the library, but this ghost citation keeps creeping back in the bibliography whenever I refresh.
How can I solve this?

Turn on field codes and search for the name/title and see if you find code related to it and delete it. It's likely between 2 and 4. ;)
