Cannot get Zotero to work with google docs

Hi,

No matter how much I try, I cannot seem to get it to work. I've restarted both chrome and Zotero numerous times. I even tried the beta version with no luck because I am not sure how to get it to work with chrome.

The main issue I have is that when I try to add a citation, it gives me the green bar for a very long time. Occasionally, the green bar completes and I can cite but then either I have the citation updating, or the very next citation the green bar will appear again.

The Debug ID is D1159840360.
  • Restart Zotero and your browser, and make sure a dialog isn't just appearing behind Zotero or your browser window. That's the most likely issue here.

If you're sure it's not that, try disabling all other third-party browser extensions and reloading Google Docs.

You can also try enabling Google Docs integration v2 in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences, but there's a Google Docs bug that can result in errors in some documents with that enabled. (But when it works, it's much faster, and can avoid some causes of this problem.)
  • I've disabled all third party extensions. The dialog box appears but it just stays green for ever.

I've tried with and without google docs integration toggled on and off. It's a nightmare. If it works, it works at most for first citation and then similar issues and I have to restart.
  • Can you restart your browser and Zotero and provide Debug IDs from both the Zotero Connector and Zotero?

Your debug output showed you clicking Add/Edit Citation when an operation was already in progress. Make sure you're only clicking once, and logging from the first time you try in the session until you get an error.
