Upgrade Storagesend to tablet while keeping zotero's annotations
I am using zotero 6.0.15 on a Mac.
I use the annotation feature of tablet in a zotfile environment.
Does anyone know how to make the zotero items appear in the tablets while keeping the current annotation status of the zotero items?
I assume the following use case.
Goal: To create a seamless integration between zotero annotations and tablet annotations.
Ideal: The entire library will be able to sync zotero's annotation state to any device, PC or tablet, without having to use zotfile's send tablet function, etc. (I realize this is difficult)
Current goal: After creating a bibliography in zotero, read and annotate the pdf using ipad (e.g. PDF Expert). Import it, and further align the annotations with the reader on the zotero side.
After that, we would like to be able to add or modify annotations on the tablet as needed.
I understand that I can export individual zotero items to a pdf with annotations, but this does not allow me to import new annotations on the ipad side into zotero.
Do I have to wait for the ipad version of zotero to be completed?

However, I am aware that only the genuine cloud is supported.
If a person is using zotfile to manage pdfs in Dropbox or GoogleDrive, they will not be able to enjoy 100% of the app's functionality.
So I am looking for a way to do this using zotfile's tablet feature.
(Before Zotero 6 was released, we contributed a patch to ZotFile to avoid stripping Zotero annotations when using the main move/rename functionality, but not the Send to Tablet feature. Someone else could probably apply our changes to that feature fairly easily.)
It seems that technically it would be possible to send the annotations to the tablet while keeping them available.
I hope this will be improved, at least for the many users who use tablets together.
