error syncing ref list in library and document

Hi, I have two issues with syncing, and one question if thats ok. Firstly created a new list in zotero for a paper, lets call it paper A. I've added citations etc, and when I refresh it updates the reference list in the document. But the reference list in zotero doesn't update. I can see the book in my main library, but not in the section for paper A.
Secondly I have deleted a section of my paper, but two book references which are no linger valid are still in my reference list in the document.
Thirdly, how do i remove website links from the bibliography in the document?
I'm using a mac, and zotero 6.0.15

    I'm not sure what you mean by this. What's "the reference list in zotero"?

    But if you mean that the bibliography in the document isn't updating after you make changes in your Zotero library, most likely the bibliography was flattened. Delete it completely and reinsert it.

    If citations are flattened too and not showing up in the bibliography after inserting a new one, see Existing Citations Not Detected.

    URLs in the bibliography are determined by 1) the citation style you're using and 2) the "Include URLs of paper articles in references" setting in the Cite pane of the Zotero preferences.

    Thank you so much for this. It fixed the bibliography issue. Can I check, when I change the citations and update the bibliography in my document - should it update the folder collection - or will will the folder still contain book titles that are not in my bibliography, and not contain items that are in my bibliography?

    Collections in Zotero don't have anything to do with what's in your document.
