Documents edited with Apple Pencil

Hello, I usually read and underline any articles with my Apple Pencil. This way - when I reopen the article - I can easily see the important passages I marked.

Is it possible to make these underlines (use of pencil) etc. when the document is already saved in my Zotero library or do I have to download the document, make the notes in the doc and then upload it to Zotero.
The first would have my preference of course, but I don't know how to do it.

    Are you aware of the Zotero iOS app? That's the supported way of annotating PDFs on iOS. It currently only supported highlights, not underlines, but the annotations are deeply integrated with the rest of Zotero.

    This all sounds like you're possibly only using the Zotero web library, which isn't the recommended way of using Zotero. For any significant work, you want to use the desktop app and the iOS app.
