Footnote style name, date
Hello dear forum,
we are supposed to use for footnotes the format
name, date
The most suitable now seemed 'Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (note)'.
It produces
name, "date"
I enter the date (year only; it is enough) in the field "short title". This is only a workaround, otherwise I don't know how to get 'Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (note)' to output my desired format.
How do I get the " to be removed?
It would be great to find a style that simply executes name, date. But that would be too much luck i guess.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Try one of these and see if it fits:
Citation Compass (Kildekompasset) - APA (note)
Norsk APA-manual - APA 7th edition (note)
Otherwise, here's an extensive list of note styles:

I don't know what to say, but you helped me very successfully - wow.
Thank you very much!
The first style (compass) fits perfectly. I will follow your tip with the 'refrain'.
Only one thing you must tell me please: How did you find this style so quickly based on my request? Did you examine EVERY style individually within a catalog?
Thanks again!
But I'm also one of the main developers of CSL styles, so I have an eye for what I'm looking for.
