I have been using a CloudMe as my webdav file store for a while. I reinstalled Windows some time ago and realised only recently that I had not set up the webdav connection to my Zotero files which I am trying to do now. When I enter the correct credentials into the Zotero preferences dialogue, I get the message:

https://webdav.cloudme.com/[username]/zotero/ does not exist.

Do you want to create it now?

Where [username] is my username. However that /zotero/ folder does exist. I can see it in my web browser.

How should I continue? I've made a copy in case anything goes wrong.

I'm afraid the rest is between you and your WebDAV provider.

Thanks for your time, Dan. I determined that the cause was the absence of part of the necessary path. For some reason, although https://webdav.cloudme.com/[username]/ is acceptable for some applications, Zotero needs https://webdav.cloudme.com/[username]/xios/zotero/

I don't know what the /xios/ bit is doing there but it's apparently necessary in this case.

which i had managaed some years ago and still working.

In case it helps others, as of 2022, and Zotero 6.0.15, the url ending in /xios/Sync is still the only way for me to get CloudMe WebDAV working.
