Chicago Manual Style Citation [full note]
When going to insert a footnote citation, the citation does not appear and instead just reads {Updating} which is linked to an error message. I have tried so many things to try and fix it, but ultimately don't know what I could be doing wrong.

dstillmanAre you able to save to Zotero from the Zotero Connector? You're getting lots of errors like this, which would mean that the Zotero Connector can't access the desktop app. That would usually be due to a firewall or security software on your computer blocking the requests, or some other extension interfering. See Connection Error for details. But if saving works, this may not be the problem here, and we'd want to see Debug IDs (different from a Report ID) from both the Zotero Connector and Zotero for reloading Google Docs and trying to insert a citation.

maddiealftedited October 3, 2022I tried it on Firefox and got it to work on there, as I saw on other forums that it may be a Chrome specific issue. This fixed it! @dstillman
