Problem with graphics in pdf reader

I'm noticing that some graphics within PDFs contain glitches when viewing the PDF within zotero. The top left corner of the graphic will be covered with a black circle, like the centre of the circle is based at the corner of the graphic, so you end up with a quarter of a black circle overlaying the graphic. This doesn't seem to occur on all images within the pdf document.

I have opened the PDF in a normal PDF viewer (foxit) and the graphics display correctly in that.

Zotero version 6.0.13
Windows version 10, v.21H2
External PDF reader: Foxit 12.0.1.12430

Particular PDF I am viewing in case it matters:

  • Try going to Zotero Preferences → Advanced → Config Editor and setting layers.acceleration.disabled to true. It should fix the issue, but can affect performance.
