Runtime Error 5: Invalid procedure call or argument
I am trying to integrate Zotero into Word and I keep getting " Runtime Error 5: Invalid procedure call or argument" with Help and End as the only buttons I can select. I know someone just posted about this but I also cannot figure it out and that thread didn't get me to a solution.
I have run this script in my terminal: osascript -e "display dialog \"test\"" and get this output: osascript: can't open default scripting component.
When I followed steps 1-6 from this discussion: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/369565/#Comment_369565, I could not open Project Zotero even though I opened Zotero.dotm directly. I can the message that it was locked or unavailable.
Additionally when I go to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, it is blank and there are no components to even mess around with.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

adomasvenYou'll have to look for general macOS troubleshooting. If you cannot run that osascript command from the Terminal, it means there is a general issue on your computer with AppleScript messaging and it won't be limited to Zotero. You can find various things people have tried here on the Zotero forums, but ultimately you'll have to look for general macOS help.
